Rudy Poe

Over the last 20 years I have "found in myself that thing I love to do" and I’m fortunate now to apply my experience to the creation of new media for education.

I have produced and directed 100+ hours of prime time broadcast programs including: “CBS: The First Fifty Years”, the TBS special Warner Bros. “75 Years of Laughter” hosted by Billy Crystal, “In Search of Dr. Seuss”, starring Robin Williams and Billy Crystal, which was nominated for 7 prime time Emmy® Awards and the soon to be released “For Love of Liberty: The Story of America’s Black Patriots” which is hosted by Halle Barry and introduced by Colin Powell.

I am director of The imagine it! Project, a multimedia educational documentary film series about how people can change the world through science, engineering and entrepreneurship.

I earned a BFA in Design at the California College of the Arts, an MFA in film production at UCLA, founded and managed three media production companies and have produced, directed and/or managed some $50 million of media production over the course of my professional career.

I believe “You Get What You Give.” Over the years this philosophy has made all the difference, from inspiring people to realize their dreams to reforming education.

Along with a terrific crew, I ventured ‘on the road’ for The Entrepreneurs! Tour of America. The Tour has traveled over 120,000 miles to 48 states, 120 cities and broadcasting and webcasting live interviews with over 1,500 of America's visionaries. For six years, I was on-air host of Living the American Dream, a nationally syndicated radio and webcast program. I tried my hand writing a book called Just Say YES!, which looking back was one of those “good experiences” that helped me I write my second book “Integration of Media, Entrepreneurship & Education.”

The documentary film Mr. K: A Common Man with Uncommon Vision, hosted by Academy Award-winning actor Chris Cooper was a project I am proud to have produced. This film has won numerous international awards including two Emmys.

I am executive producer of The imagine it! Project a multimedia educational documentary film series about how people can change the world through science, engineering and entrepreneurship.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, I am a graduate of Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in Journalism and Communications.
